The Forest Art Festival in Ladakh 2023, an art festival set in the high mountains at an altitude of several 4,000 meters above sea level, in the Ladakh region, a powerful wind slips through the gaps between the rocky mountains. Because of the high altitude, the alpine sun shines down and everything is dry. Facing this vast land for eight days, I painted my works.

The first work is "The Flying Human. During my stay in Ladakh, I was struck by the sight of people walking up the high mountains as if they were on a walking trail. All the people sloshing up the rocky mountains. I superimposed the picture of birds riding on the wind and the people of Ladakh running on the rocky mountains, and painted the work on this theme.

The second work was "Creatures of the Beginning. Trees were planted in the area where the festival was held. In the rocky mountain area, there are many landslides and it is very difficult for greenery to take root. Therefore, wood is also very precious. I depicted the robust life force of Ladakh, which coexists with great natural changes, superimposed on microorganisms that inhabit Japan and India. I pray that the energy of our distant ancestors, who lived through the struggle of nature when we were still small microorganisms, will become the nourishment that watches over the trees that put down roots in this land.
