ARTIST STATEMENT
⾔葉は⼈間と話す為のもの
もっと⽣命の根源的エネルギーと触れあいたいから 絵を描く
「描く」という⾏為の⾔語化できない衝動には
植物たちが⽣き延びるために
蔦や葉を伸ばしてゆくものと似た切実さがあるように感じている

美術家 1994年 神奈川県 横浜生まれ大磯在住

2017年東京造形大学絵画科卒業。大学在学中、"天然顔料"という素材に魅了され独自の技法で顔料づくりと作品制作を行う。卒業後はフィールドを海や山に移し、人間の営みと自然の生命力の交わる接点に着目し絵画や陶芸、インスタレーションなど様々な表現方法で自然とのコンタクトを試みる。代表的な作品に、訪れた地で採取した土や植物、 煤など自然由来の素材を滞在地域で収集、顔料化し市民や学生と共にその地のトーテムをつくる《土遊び》や、廃材を収集しその土地の道祖神を作る《call the spirits》などがある。近年では日本だけではなくインドや中国、アフリカなどへ制作の場を広げ勢力的に表現活動を行なっている。
Representative Director of Popo ea Pele
Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 2017 with a degree in painting. While a university student, he was fascinated by the material “natural pigment” and started making pigments and creating artworks using his own unique technique. After graduation, she moved her field to the sea and mountains, focusing on the point of contact between human activities and the life force of nature, and attempting to make contact with nature through various methods of expression such as painting, ceramics, and installations. Representative works include “Playing in the dirt,” in which he collects soil, plants, soot, and other naturally occurring materials collected in the areas he visits and turns them into pigments to create local totems with local citizens and students, and “call the spirits,” in which he collects scrap wood to create local gods of the land. In recent years, he has expanded his artistic activities to India, China, and Africa, as well as Japan.
