In February 2025, artist Sugisaki Haruna collaborated with the art material recycling project Megurido during a residency in a quiet village in Yagi Town, Nantan City. Her studio for this project was an old storehouse. Unlike her recent works made with natural materials such as soil and plants, this piece was created from discarded art supplies—paints, papers, and other remnants that had already served their purpose in local households. Brought back to life, these fragments transform into dancing spirits within the mural, as if they have traveled to the Mizunoki Museum in Kameoka to joyfully await the artist’s return.
