2025 4.12｜ A House in Nowhere (Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture)

In 2024, “Totem of Kakegawa” was exhibited at a tea farm in Kakegawa City with local participants. The project began by refining paint from fresh tea leaves picked in the tea fields and painting with local materials.

The exhibition was set up in a corner of the tea plantation, and was held before the new tea harvest season.

The tea plantation was a venue for the exhibition, with fresh greenery spreading across the field, and the composition was designed to unite the artwork with the environment.

After the exhibition, a small tea ceremony was held using tea leaves brought by the participants.

The event provided an opportunity to confront the local climate through the entire process from creation to exhibition and sharing.
